About this webinar:

Research and compelling data can help afterschool programs make the case to parents, policy makers and their community that afterschool programs are essential to keep kids safe, inspire learning and support working families. Learn how you can use America After 3PM, Afterschool Alliance’s recently released report and web dashboard, to advocate for afterschool and raise awareness about the critical need for these programs.

America After 3PM is a national household survey that spans a decade of data, chronicling how children spend the hours after school, the demand for afterschool programs, the level of parent satisfaction with their child’s afterschool program and public support for afterschool programs. Speakers will provide an overview of key findings from America After 3PM, as well as provide examples of ways in which organizations have leveraged data from the research to bring attention to the need for afterschool programs and build support for afterschool.

Speakers:

  • Melanie McClintock, Executive Director, Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence
  • Nikki Yamashiro, Research Director, Afterschool Alliance
  • Alexis Steines, Field Outreach Manager, Afterschool Alliance
