Susan Gamble, director of the West Virginia Statewide Afterschool Network, will discuss how a nationally recognized summer learning program in her state has increased participation in the Summer Food Service Program by working with local partners. 

Research shows that parents want healthy options in out-of-school time. Adding fun activities, warm-ups, and healthy enrichment, as well as nutritious snacks and meals, is a great way to engage families and attract new students to your program. This webinar will introduce you to the newly refreshed National AfterSchool Association Healthy Eating and Physical Activity Standards (HEPA 2.0) and you’ll leave with resources to make your afterschool and summer programming inclusive, active, healthy, and fun.

In this webinar, a lead researcher from the Girl Scout Research Institute will present findings from their recently released report, The State of Girls, the first-of-its-kind report series to focus on the health and well-being of the 26 million girls in the U.S. Also featured in the webinar are speakers from Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas and Girls on the Run International, who will each discuss strategies their programs employ.
