According to the Council of Large Public Housing Authorities (CLPHA), many public housing authorities are involved in providing their residents with out-of-school learning opportunities. By partnering with local afterschool providers who contribute trained staff and curriculum, housing authorities across the country are bringing high-quality afterschool education home to the children and youth they serve.

The Afterschool Alliance and CLPHA have partnered to feature promising practices for initiating and sustaining such partnerships. In this webinar, guest speakers involved with a successful housing authority/afterschool partnership in Southern California will discuss: the benefits of their partnership, the challenges they’ve overcome and suggestions for housing authorities and afterschool providers looking to initiate similar partnerships in their own communities.
