Up to $75k for innovative initiatives and ideas to benefit kids

Take a moment to think about the work your organization does in promoting information and resources to your colleagues in the field. If you’re a communication and information leader in your community, apply for the American Legion Child Welfare Foundation’s 2018 grant cycle!

The American Legion Child Welfare Foundation seeks to:

• Contribute to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual welfare of children through the dissemination of knowledge about new and innovative organizations and/or their programs designed to benefit youths.
• Contribute to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual welfare of children through the dissemination of knowledge already possessed by well-established organizations to the end that such information can be more adequately used by society.

Deadline: Application period lasts from May 1 to July 15, 2018; please note that applications submitted prior to May 1 and after July 15 will not be considered.

Funds: Varies by request, but recent grants have ranged from $5,000-$75,000

Eligibility: Nonprofit organizations

Areas: Grants must have the potential for helping American children in a large geographic area (more than one state).

Then, complete the application here and mail or deliver your application to the address below, postmarked no later than July 15, 2018. All applicants will be informed of the status of their application by the third week of October.

Please note that these grants do not cover day-to-day expenses – rather, applications should consider how your program contributes to the two goals of the foundation, specifically in their efforts to disseminate knowledge about organizations and programs that positively impact youth.
