- Lindsey R. Blevins, Extended Learning Coach / 21st CCLC Programs Tuscaloosa City Schools Federal Programs Department, Alabama
Lindsey Blevins, Extended Learning Coach for Alabama's Tuscaloosa City Schools, oversees 12 federally funded 21st Century Community Learning Center sites providing innovative afterschool and summer learning programs for K-12 students. Lindsey also serves as Vice President of the Alabama Community Education Association, Central Region Hub Director for the Alabama Expanded Learning Alliance, and as an Afterschool Alliance Ambassador.
- Carlos M. Gonzalez Jr., Superintendent, Roma Independent School District
Mr. Carlos M. Gonzalez Jr. has proudly served as Superintendent of Roma ISD for the past four years. In that time, he has led the district through a period of remarkable academic growth, positioning Roma ISD among the top-performing school systems in both the Rio Grande Valley and the state of Texas. Under his leadership, the district earned an A rating in the 2024–2025 state accountability system.
During his tenure, Roma ISD has garnered numerous prestigious honors, including three U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon Schools, two Governor’s Lone Star Ribbon Schools, and two National ESEA Distinguished Schools. The district has also been recognized with five Gold Ribbon Schools by Children at Risk—featuring the top three elementary schools in the Rio Grande Valley in 2024—as well as seven Texas Honor Roll schools.
- Travis Patten, Sheriff, Adams County Sheriff's Office
On January 5, 2016, Travis L. Patten was sworn in as the youngest Sheriff in the history of Adams County, Mississippi, and the first African American Sheriff since Reconstruction. Before his career in law enforcement, Sheriff Patten served in the United States Navy. Sheriff Patten was awarded the Medgar Evers Freedom Award by the Natchez, MS, branch of the NAACP.
