We have gathered together materials that
you can use to make your Lights On Afterschool!
event the best it can be. We encourage you to use the
Lights On Afterschool! artwork, posters, and
logos at your event to create an eye-catching visual
to convey the energy of afterschool in your community.
Last year the Afterschool Alliance received more than
40,000 light bulbs from afterschool programs across
the country. Through pictures, stories, poems, or short
messages, each conveyed a powerful message about the
importance of afterschool. We displayed these light
bulbs on Capitol Hill and delivered them to Members
of Congress, to demonstrate to the nation's decision-makers
that afterschool is making a difference in the lives
of children, families and communities everywhere.
