Last Chance to Take STEM in Afterschool Survey & Enter to Win Cool Stuff

by Susan Rohwer

Enter to win cool stuff for your afterschool program and help make 2011 the year of science in afterschool!  Take the STEM in afterschool survey, closing soon.

The Afterschool Alliance and the National AfterSchool Association are conducting a series of surveys to assess the state of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in afterschool and summer programs around the country.  If you haven’t done so already, please take a moment to fill out the first survey in the series http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/STEMinAfterschool.

Your program could win all sorts of fun goodies like…

  • NASA educational materials,
  • $50 Discount School Supplies gift certificates,
  • Cookbooks by celebrity chef Joey Altman,
  • A NAA resource package (which includes an NAA Standards book, and two each of I Heart AfterSchool Pins, I Heart AfterSchool Iron On's, and AfterSchool Today magazines).

You could even win a free registration to attend the Afterschool For All Challenge in Washington, D.C. in May 2011!

The data obtained through these surveys will be vital to helping us better describe and promote the STEM learning that occurs in afterschool and summer learning settings. Your responses to these surveys will be critical in shaping policy and promoting funding in support of STEM education in afterschool.

Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey and helping us move STEM in afterschool to the next level.
